This guide is based on official documentation checked on October 4, 2026. The Bulk Create exercise was not run: no sample table was uploaded, no fields were mapped and no batch was generated or exported. Live account access was not verified. The data and corrections were written for practice.

When several posts share the same structure, prepare the copy in a spreadsheet and connect it to one Canva template. Bulk Create suits repeatable material such as weekly tips or service introductions. Start with five rows so you can inspect every result before committing a larger batch.

Check access first

Bulk Create is desktop-only and available with eligible Pro, Teams, Business, Enterprise, Education and Nonprofits plans. Check your account. If unavailable, duplicate a page and replace its text manually to practice the same content checks.

Create a small, original dataset

This fictional series belongs to Cedar Studio. Make three columns: Heading, Body and Action. Each numbered entry below is one row; put each field in its own cell. Use text only for this first exercise, with no customer records or uploaded assets.

Row 1. Heading: “Start with a question.” Body: “Write down one question people ask before contacting your business.” Action: “Save this for your next post.”

Row 2. Heading: “Show one useful example.” Body: “Describe a step in your process without promising a particular result.” Action: “Try it in your next post.”

Row 3. Heading: “How to choose a single idea for your next social post when you offer several services and have very little room.” Body: “Pick one service and one question. Save the other ideas for later posts.” Action: “Choose one idea.”

Row 4. Heading: “Read it on a phone.” Body: “Check whether the sentence makes sense without zooming in.” Action: leave this cell empty for the exercise.

Row 5. Heading: “Finish with a clear next step.” Body: “Choose one action a reader can take after reading.” Action: “Save for your next review.”

Correct the input deliberately

Shorten row 3’s heading to “Choose one idea.” Its body already provides the context. Fill row 4’s empty Action cell with “Check it on your phone.” These are expected manual corrections prepared for this exercise, not observed Canva output. A missing instruction needs an editorial decision.

Keep the original and corrected tables so you can trace a mismatch. Remove duplicate rows and accidental headings within the data. Use a simple background and readable type; decorative choices can wait until the content survives the template.

Connect your table to the design

  1. Build one page with separate text boxes for Heading, Body and Action. Leave room for a two-line heading. Keep the studio name as fixed text.
  2. Open Apps, then More from Canva, then Bulk create. Select Upload data for CSV or XLSX, confirm any sheet or range selection, and continue. Alternatively, use Enter data manually.
  3. Choose Connect manually, continue and select Use current design. Drag each field onto its matching text box. Review every connection if you use Auto-match fields instead.
  4. Choose Preview and inspect all five rows. Use Close to return and fix the connections or template, then preview again. Continue, choose a multi-page design under Advanced options and use the displayed creation button.

For a table already in Canva Sheets, select a continuous range and choose Actions, then Bulk Create designs. Select a design, map the fields and preview. Make sure your selected range contains the intended content. After later data edits, recheck the generated designs rather than assuming they have updated.

Check the complete batch

The target is five pages with matching headings, bodies and actions. Compare each page with the corrected table. Look for leftover placeholders, cropped headings, empty calls to action and cramped line spacing. Inspect the shortest entry as well as the longest; inconsistent positioning can become obvious only across the series.

If content lands in the wrong place, disconnect the field and map it again. If a page overflows, shorten the copy or adjust its text box before generating again. Shrinking every line can make the result difficult to read. Download the required pages through Share and Download, then inspect the saved files too. Expand the batch only after this small version passes.
