In brief
- Gemini 4 Argon is now available globally, two weeks after a cyber-defenders-only preview.
- API pricing starts at $2 per 1M input tokens and $10 per 1M output tokens through November 30.
- Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers get it in the Gemini app and AI Mode in Search.
Google is opening Gemini 4 Argon, its new flagship model, to developers, enterprises and paying subscribers worldwide.

The announcement went out on October 13, 2026, at 16:00 UTC, and CEO Sundar Pichai shared it on X. When Google first unveiled Argon on September 30, only a small group of cyber defenders could use it.
Who gets Gemini 4 Argon, and where
| Audience | Where it is available |
|---|---|
| Developers | Paid Gemini API tier, AI Studio and Android Studio |
| Enterprises | Gemini for business, the API and Google Antigravity |
| Google AI Ultra subscribers | Google Antigravity, the Gemini app and AI Mode in Search |
| Google AI Pro subscribers | The Gemini app and AI Mode in Search |
Antigravity, Google’s agent-first development platform, is limited to Ultra for individual subscribers. The Gemini macOS app now also includes the Antigravity coding interface.
Pricing: an introductory rate through November
| Period | Input (per 1M tokens) | Output (per 1M tokens) |
|---|---|---|
| Through Nov 30, 2026 | $2 | $10 |
| From Dec 1, 2026 | $4 | $20 |
Cached input tokens are 95% off. Through the API, the model supports a unified 1M-token limit for input and output combined.
What Argon can do
Google says Argon ranks first on the Vals Index, which measures performance in finance, coding, legal and tax work. It scored 87% on the ERQA embodied reasoning benchmark.
Inside Google, it helped the Chrome team untangle a legacy folder of about 6 million lines and sped up the open Gemma models by 2.85x. Teams using it in Antigravity increased agentic code submissions by more than 35%.
In the app, Google promises more direct answers with less hedging and fewer clichés. A new tasks mode lets Gemini keep working while you are away, and it now connects to more than 40 apps.
Safety, plus wider access for cyber defenders
Google reports that shortcut attempts on coding benchmarks fell to 2%, and that attack success on Gray Swan’s indirect prompt injection benchmark dropped to 0.7%.
The Fairwind Program is expanding to hundreds more partners, who get Argon without cyber guardrails. Google is also offering 10,000 scientists six months of Antigravity’s top usage tier for free, subject to eligibility and selection.
What we don’t know yet
- Google has not said whether or when Argon will reach Plus or free users.
- Regional pricing for consumer plans, including EU and UK rates, was not part of the announcement.
- The rest of the Gemini 4 family was promised later, with no date.
What it means for you

- Pro and Ultra subscribers: look for it in the Gemini app and AI Mode in Search, rolling out globally, including the US, EU and UK.
