In brief
- Grok Bot 0.70.2 lets every bot claim its own email address, with outgoing mail held for your approval.
- Bots can now search X without a connected account and pay with X Money or Stripe Link.
- Before anything irreversible, such as sending, buying or deleting, a bot checks for your approval.
SpaceXAI is rolling out Grok Bot 0.70.2, an update that gives every bot its own email address, lets it search X and lets it pay with X Money or Stripe Link.

The release is dated October 11, 2026, in the official changelog, and its rollout was announced on X on October 13. It also bundles versions 0.69.0 through 0.70.1.
What is new in Grok Bot 0.70.2
According to the changelog, these are the headline additions:
| Feature | What it means in practice |
|---|---|
| An email address for every bot | A bot receives mail at its own mail.grokbot.com address. Mail it sends waits for your approval on a draft card. |
| X search | A bot can read posts and profiles without you connecting an X account. |
| Payments | A bot can pay with X Money or Stripe Link. |
| Apps in the chat | Connectors such as Figma, Notion and Canva appear as interactive cards in the conversation. |
| Templates | Describe what you want, and the bot suggests a matching Bot template. |
| Shared pages | They can be downloaded as a PDF. |
Elon Musk shared the announcement, writing that all Grok Bots get their own email address and can help analyze and summarize your inbox too.
An approval check before irreversible actions
Before an action it cannot undo, such as sending, posting, buying or deleting, a bot now checks your own messages for approval. After a bank or brokerage connector returns data, it asks before sharing that data anywhere else.
There are fixes too. SpaceXAI says connector calls fail less often. When a model is not available in your region, the bot stops, explains why and falls back to Grok.
Why it matters
Until now, a bot mostly worked through your own accounts. With an address of its own, it can receive mail directly, without access to your personal inbox.
Email plus payments is also where the risk sits. That is why it matters that outgoing mail waits for approval and that a bot looks for consent before buying. The real test will be how well it recognizes what is truly irreversible.
What we don’t know yet
- Which countries can use X Money and Stripe Link for bot payments.
- Whether there is a cap on how much mail a bot can send or receive.
- When every user will have the update. The rollout began on October 13 with no end date.
What it means for you
- Already a user? Update the app and ask your bot to claim an email address. Anything it sends from there waits for your approval.
- Small businesses: a separate address keeps the bot’s work apart from your personal inbox. More ideas in Grok Bot for Small Business.
- Price: the update does not change pricing. New users get Grok Bot through The X Subscription from the Premium plan at $30 a month; see which plan to pick.
